The Tissue grinder is composed of 2 components to be ordered separately: Borosilicate Glass mortar (6102 to 6150) and Serrated pestle (6302 to 6350). The Tissue grinder is ideal for small amounts of tissue. Volume stated are the working volumes. Avoid excessive generated heat as it could cause binding. -
Tissue Grinders are used for the controlled reduction of particle size and homogenization of a variety substances, especially biological material. Size reduction/homogenization is brought about by the shearing forces generated by the movement of a rotating plunger in a precision bore tube.
